Alaska’s Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy is ordering a criminal investigation into the state’s closely watched Senate race. It comes as the Department of Justice has issued as many as three dozen subpoenas as part of a separate federal investigation on an alleged plot to sabotage the campaign of Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan by Democrat Mary Peltola’s campaign. NBC’s Garrett Haake reports for TODAY.
